Last week we were so excited to announce that model and positive body advocate, Hayley Hasselhoff, is the face of our summer range. We first met Hayley at British Plus Size Fashion Weekend back in February when she graced the catwalk for us and we instantly knew she would be perfect for Yours Clothing!
A few weeks ago myself (Jacqs,marketing), Charlotte (marketing manager) and Laura (photographer) got up bright and early to head to London for the photoshoot with Hayley. When we got to London we met up with our special guest, the lovely blogger Nancy who blogs at http://www.sugar-darling.com. Nancy came with us to get some footage for her blog and help out at the shoot. Throughout the day Nancy was steaming clothes, passing hair rollers to Hayley’s hair stylist and giving her opinions on the photos as Nancy has a great eye for detail!
The shoot took place at a studio in Shoreditch, the space was specially chosen as it had many different backgrounds- textured walls, colourama walls and glamorous sofa’s to compliment the themes we were shooting. We even used palm tree leaves on one of the backgrounds (We are a creative lot!) After we arrived at the studio we unpacked the clothes into the different themes we were shooting on Hayley- monochrome, floral, festival, beachwear and evening dresses. We steamed them (which I realised I was horrendous at doing, Nancy on the other hand was fabulous!) and arranged them in the order we were shooting them.
For each theme we shot, Hayley’s hair and make-up changed to best match each outfit, her hair went from straight to curly to wavy all in one day! And when it came to shooting the clothing, Hayley looked absolutely fantastic, we were in awe of how amazing she looked! Our photographer on the day was the renowned photographer, Dan Kennedy, a massive thanks to Dan for helping create these great images.
