3. What does a regular work day for you involve?
My working day is very varied, at the moment we are filming our latest TV advert so a lot of my day is taken up with planning and signing off the edits. We are also opening over 20 new stores in the next few months so my team and I are busy arranging all the promotions and activity round those. Outside of these very exciting projects I manage our Google PPC adverting, working with a number of partners from Voucher Code sites to the 99p store, planning the content in the emails you will receive from us and events such as Plus North and The British Plus Size Fashion Weekend.
4.What is the best part of your job?
I love working for a company which is growing at such a fast pace. There are so many exciting projects going on from shooting the latest TV advert to working with a celebrity (watch this space!) and then opening over 20 new stores in the UK over the next few months and also some franchise stores in the Middle East. It is fantastic to learn and grow with a brand like Yours Clothing.
5. What advice would you give someone who aspires to be a marketer?
I would say get involved with as many projects and opportunities as you can, experience is key. Take initiative and try to learn as much as you can.
6. What is your favourite trend at the moment?
I love the colour pop trend; it is amazing how a whole outfit can change by adding a splash of colour. Even if you don’t normally wear bright colours you can add a bright coloured handbag and it can transform your whole look.
7. What is your must-have item for Summer 2014?
A maxi dress! Maxis are so versatile; you can dress them up for a summer wedding or go casual for a day shopping. There is no worrying about matching up a top and bottom, it is a complete outfit!
8. What has been your biggest fashion faux-paux?
I was a massive Steps fan in my youth; I would say my biggest tragedy (sorry!) was a pair of trousers, with a skirt over the top! I loved them, it’s such a shame they haven’t come back in to fashion, I may start a petition! Do you remember them? Please say you do, I can’t be the only one!
